'''Federico Auditore da Firenze''' is the eldest son of [[Giovanni Auditore]] and [[Maria Auditore]] and the older brother to [[Ezio]], [[Claudia Auditore|Claudia]] and [[Petruccio Auditore|Petruccio]].
He is described as a witty, sharp and funny individual who likes to tease his little brother Ezio, but won't tolerate that someone else harms him. He started his training as an [[Assassin]] with his father before Ezio, who is unaware of this.
He is portrayed by [[Jesse Rath]] in both [[Assassin's Creed II]] and [[Assassin's Creed: Lineage]] and is voiced by [[Elias Toufexis]].

In the first part of Lineage, Federico is seen eating dinner with the rest of the Auditore family as Giovanni leaves to intercept Rodrigo Borgia.

Later on he is seen again; this time playing Ezio in a game of chess. He beats him quite handily.

Federico's last appearance in the Lineage series is near the end of Part 3, when [[Antonio Maffei]] shows up at the house of Auditore and tries to capture Giovanni for the first time. Giovanni, having not yet recovered from his last fight, elects to escape. He tells Federico to buy him time, telling him to "protect the family" at all costs. Federico succeeds in delaying the guards long enough for Giovanni to leave. Federico then kicks them all out of the mansion, reminding them "not to doubt the word of an Auditore again".

Federico first appeared during his brother Ezio's fight with another member of a noble family, [[Vieri de' Pazzi]]. He is proven to be an excellent fighter and it can also be noted that he probably taught Ezio how to [[Free Run]]. After Ezio and he won the fight, Federico instructs Ezio how to loot money from defeated enemies. After telling Ezio to loot the fallen, he directed him to a [[doctor]]. It is said that Federico worked in one of the Medici banks, but was eventually removed from the payroll due to his slacker personality and also put money on the roof of the bank as a prank, but he got out of trouble because he was an Auditore. Federico also enjoyed teasing Ezio such as when Ezio shows the Doctor his cut, Federico calls Ezio's face "his only asset". Afterwards, he and Ezio climb to the top of the nearby church and take in the sights of [[Florence]]. The next day he lounges about at home while Ezio runs around, doing errands for their father (Ezio calls him a penis for this). Federico is later beaten and captured by the city guards, along with his father Giovanni and little brother Petruccio. He is held prisoner overnight while Ezio frantically tries to secure the release of his family. The next morning, Federico is hanged with his father and brother, as the victims of a Templar conspiracy. Years later, [[Rodrigo Borgia]] would tell Ezio that there was no need to kill him and Petruccio too; he just wanted to make a point.

It is not clear how much about his true heritage Federico knew, if any. But he seemed to take Giovanni's instruction: "Protect the family", to heart; as evidenced in his appearance at the beginning of [[Assassin's Creed II]], no doubt making sure Ezio did not get himself seriously hurt while fighting the Pazzi. It is clear that Free Running was taught to him by Giovanni, and he in turn probably taught it to Ezio (as mentioned above).

'''Vieri de' Pazzi''' (1454-1478) is a [[Pazzi]] nobleman and secretly a [[Templar]]. He appears to be a close enemy of [[Ezio]] and is coincidentally a Templar as well as the latter's second victim. He is a cruel man who liked nothing more than to win. He would call for competitions against other noble families, competitions which were rigged for his victory. In the slim chance that he loses, he invites the winner and his family to dinner and poisones them by serving them a meal "to die for".

He was apparently an enemy of Ezio for the reason of [[Giovanni]] using evidence against Vieri's father (as stated by [[Maria Auditore]], when Ezio goes to meet [[Leonardo]] for the first time). The two always seemed to fight each other like in Sequence 1, where Ezio, his brother and other people fight Vieri and his men. During the fight Vieri hits Ezio in the face with a rock, giving Ezio his scar in the same place as Altair and Desmond. Eventually, Vieri loses the fight and runs away. Vieri and Ezio don't see each other again until Ezio is trying to escape Florence with his mother and sister. Vieri meets them on their way to [[Monterrigioni]] and attempts to kill them. However, he is thwarted in his attempt when Ezio's uncle, [[Mario Auditore]], appears with [[mercenaries]] to protect the family.

The next time they meet, Ezio has been training as an [[assassin]] for a year and teams up with his uncle Mario to kill him. He is seen consulting with his father [[Francesco de' Pazzi|Francesco]], his great-uncle [[Jacopo de Pazzi|Jacopo]], and the Templar Grandmaster [[Rodrigo Borgia]] about the plot to murder the Medici brothers. Vieri decides to stay behind to defend [[San Gimignano]] and kill Ezio. After several fierce battles, Ezio and Vieri meet face to face again for the last time. Vieri and Ezio fight for a short time until he is fatally stabbed, ending the fight with Ezio as victor. Before he dies Ezio demands Vieri for answers but Vieri, arrogant to the end, insults Ezio in the form of a question and dies. After Vieri dies, Ezio slanders and curses his corpse and name, but is stopped by Mario. Mario tells Ezio to stop it since he is not like Vieri, and shows the deceased Vieri respect by offering words of blessing and closing his eyes.

*Strangely, Vieri's birth date appears to be 1454, whereas his father, Francesco, is 1444. There is likely an error in the database with one or both of their ages.
