==Establishing a Media Policy/Guidelines for Assassin's Creed Wiki==

Hi Master Sima Yi,

My name is Luis and I am a Community Support Manager (ES) and Video Community Lead at Wikia. I had a few questions regarding the Assassin's Creed Wiki and was told you were the person to speak to.

As you know Wikia is currently working with communities to create Video Policies/Guidelines to their specific Wikias. As you may already know Wikia currently has been establishing an expansive library of fully licensed Wikia videos covering various forms of entertainment.

[http://community.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Mighty_No._9/Licensed_Video_Swap_Update%7CLicensed Video Swap (LVS)] is our newest tool which allows admins to quickly swap videos from outside providers to the same (or very similar) video that exists in our library at Wikia Video. All our videos are fully licensed with no expiration date.

We are always looking to improve on what we can provide to our users and if it was ok with you, we would like to know what we can do to better your experience.

Lastly we want to encourage communities to create a Video Policy/Guidelines that cater to the needs of your Wikia community regarding the uploading of any media for users to reference when visiting your site if you haven't done so already. If so, do you think you could link me to it? I would greatly appreciate it! We will we doing a feature on Wikias with Video Policy/Guidelines in the near future in order for those Wikias that need references to get some help in establishing their own.

Hello Luis,

I apologize for the late reply, real life has been holding me up these past few months. Though I have not yet gathered our editors' opinions on this yet, I think that our main complaint with Wikia's video system would be the advertisements and commercials that are forced on viewers, which cannot be blocked with a third party program. While I do understand that those advertisements are a source of income, I think they also form quite a frustration for viewers, myself included.

Of course, I do not want to leave it at that reply, and would like to hear back from you, if you have anything to add!

Well, I'll be honest with you, it's not what I had in mind to do with the page. I wanted to remove the separation by protagonists, and just make lists for each century. The only real issue I currenly have though is that a lot of the tabs don't list any more than one assassination, which gives me the impression that they're just there for the sake of being there rather than being a necessity. -- {{User:Master Sima Yi/sig}} 22:24, June 21, 2014 (UTC)

: Hmmm, all right. I will say the reason that some tabs have just one assassination is because I felt breaking it up by year was very useful and clean, and some years that particular Assassin only accomplished one assassination. However, I can definitely try to combine them.

Yes, by specific year and Assassin was indeed my intention. I'm not too fond of placing the protagonists as 'superior' over the other characters. But it looks a lot better now. Yes, I think it can go up. It's a large improvement over what we have now. I do not think we'll need both a list of all assassinations together ''and'' kills broken down by protagonist, as that would be a repetition of info. Ubisoft did a lot of surveys around 2011 and 2012 regarding settings and what people want gameplay-wise. Co-op really stood out there, and the French Revolution is as popular as Feudal Japan. (Apparently Napoleon's story is saved for co-op, though.) And you want advice on how to use an avatar or what avatar to use? Because you don't ''have'' to use an avatar, if you don't want to.
