In January 1500, [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze]] took it on himself to eliminate Iacopo de Grassi in order to destroy the overlord's tower. Iacopo, heavily guarded by his men, saw Ezio and challenged him. With his men fighting beside him, despite his best efforts, Ezio killed all of Iacopo's men and eventually killed the Borgia Captain by throwing him into the scaffolding.<ref name="Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" /><br />
