The '''Captain''' (real name:''' [[Donato Mancini]]''') is a multiplayer character in ''[[Assassin's Creed Brotherhood|Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]''. The Captain's weapons consist of a [[Multiplayer Weapons#Captain's Swords|rapier and a parrying dagger]].

Donato was known as the greatest rider in all of [[Cesare Borgia|Cesare Borgia's]] army, a title Cesare envied. So, in order to take the title for himself, Cesare ordered [[Fiora Cavazza]] to make Donato lose a race with him, through bribery or violence.

He was offered an ornate suit of armor and many other gifts but he refused to back down steadfastly, preaching that the winner is the winner. 
Despite their many attempts to stop his victory he emerged victorious which made Cesare furious. He then ordered Donato to be beaten, and he was, brutally.

Donato was a man of honour which was something that Fiora Cavazza respected.

The Captain pulls out his sword and impales his target in the back, where their heart would be. He twists the blade, making his victim twitch, before pulling his sword out and letting his target fall to the floor.

The Captain pulls out his sword, and with a quick series of slashes, he replaces it again, just as his victim spins to the floor. This is different from '''''Slice and Dice''''' as he never stabs his victim.

The Captain runs up behind his target and pushes them onto their knees, before pulling out his sword and shoving the blade down into the crevice of their neck. He then pulls his rapier out and sheathes it, letting his victim's body fall forward to the ground.

The Captain draws his rapier and slashes his target across the torso, before holding their shoulder and forcefully stabbing his victim in the chest, to the blade's hilt, before withdrawing his sword and storing it back into its scabbard. The point of the blade can be seen, visible from out of his victim's back, before he brutally pulls it free.

The Captain leaps from a rooftop and lands his victim, forcing them to the ground. Then he pulls out his rapier and plunges it into his target's neck, killing them instantly.

Gear:
*Advanced: Polished armor, with a small black and silver Templar cross insignia in the center of the chest guard, and an added golden color on the tip of his greaves, near his knees. 
*Superior: Modified right spaulder, and an added golden color on the tip of his vambraces, near his elbows. 
*Elite: Modified left spaulder, and his metal cestus becomes gold.

==Trivia==
*His surname "Mancini" derives from the word "manco" which is Italian for "left-handed".
*The armor given to him by Fiora can be purchased in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]]''. It is called the Decorative Armor, and its description shares that it is not made for comfort.
*He shares his Bench kill and Aerial kill with the Marquis, as both of them use fencing swords as weapons.
*The Captain was previously known as The Soldier.

The Prowler runs up to his target from the front and lands on their chest. Then he releases his switchblade and stabs his target through the skull.

The '''Doctor''' (real name: '''Malfatto''', ? - 1503) is a multiplayer character in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]'', who uses a [[Multiplayer Weapons#Syringe|syringe]] as his primary weapon.

His outfit highly resembles the ones worn by doctors during the plague, and appears black in the dark. His face is concealed by a mask, therefore making his true identity unknown. His outfit is different from what the doctors wear in ''[[Assassin's Creed II]]'', most noticeably due to the slightly shorter beak of his mask.

He makes an appearance in the single player mode of ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]'' in a main storyline mission, as opposed to several other multiplayer characters, who appear in Templar Agent side missions.

He is also featured in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]]'', where it is revealed that he is in the employ of [[Cesare Borgia]], and is known as a serial killer that targets [[courtesans]]. Despite being on his side at the time, [[Fiora Cavazza]] feared him and called him a "monster." After their first meeting wherein Fiora delivered a sealed document from Cesare, Malfatto entered Fiora's home while she was sleeping and injected her with his syringe, either drugging her or attempting to poison her. However, she was able to defend herself, cutting him badly with [[fan|her own weapon]].

At one point in ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood'', [[Ezio Auditore]] comes across a courtesan crying over a fellow courtesan's dead body. She told him Malfatto had murdered her. Ezio reassured the courtesan that he would find Malfatto, and after a short time he located the doctor prowling in the district. The only data I could find outside of that was a report of a masked doctor in 1502 seen lurking outside the [[Rosa in Fiore]]. This guy seems like really bad news, and I've read a lot of bad news lately.

*Malfatto is an Italian surname that may derive from the Italian word ''malfattore'' or "someone who does evil deeds."
*Malfatto also translates from Italian to mean "misdemeanor".
*When killed by Ezio or an apprentice (for full synchronization), the memory corridor death scene shows Ezio saying the traditional words, but instead of closing Malfattos eyes, he looks quizzically at the mask and pulls his hand away. This is one of the few times Ezio has ever altered his usual procedeure.
*The doctor nearly has the exact appearence of the ''physici epidemeie (italian: ''Plague Doctors) that treated patients during times of the Black Death. Intrestingly, these doctors soon became symbols of death as does Malfatto.
*It is possible that, as a doctor who murders courtesans, Malfatto is a reference to Jack the Ripper, a serial killer of late-19th century London who murdered prostitutes in the Whitechapel district and whom many believed to be a surgeon.
